Fraud Prevention Policy


Over the years NRL has implemented various policies and procedures, systems to guide employees within and outside the organization for efficient functioning in a transparent manner. Most of these have been formalized in the form of policy documents. The “Fraud Prevention Policy” is also forming a part of internal control mechanism of the Company to put in place a mechanism for employees/third parties to report to the Management about unethical behavior, actual or suspected fraud.

Salient features of the “Fraud prevention Policy” are

  • The policy applies to any fraud or suspected fraud, involving any one [(full time & part time employees or persons appointed on adhoc/temporary/contract basis, trainees, apprentices, representatives of vendors / suppliers / contractors/ consultants/service providers or any other agency (ies) doing any business with NRL.
  • Definition of Fraud as any willful act of wrongful or criminal deception done with the intention of gaining an advantage to self or other individuals or injure the interest of others.
  • Guidance as to how to conduct investigations in fraudulent activities.
  • To provide assurances to one and all, that any & all suspected fraudulent activity(s) will not be allowed and will be fully investigated.
  • Procedure for reporting Fraud by the Employee/Third parties to Nodal officer.

As the Policy applies to any fraud or suspected fraud, all the employees or persons appointed on ad-hoc / temporary / contract basis, trainees, apprentices, representatives of vendors / suppliers / contractors / consultants / service providers or any other agency (ies) doing any business with NRL should maintain a vigil in preventing fraud or suspected fraudulent activities.
