NRL Wax, Type -1 has been certified by BIS, a statutory body, Govt. of India as a Food Grade product. NRL has given a brand name "PRISTENE" to the Type-I paraffin wax (Food Grade Wax). This food grade Paraffin Wax is fit to be used for medicinal purpose, food packaging and cosmetics applications.
Paraffin wax is sold Ex-MI basis from Numaligarh Marketing Terminal and Siliguri Marketing Terminal. NRL paraffin wax is also sold through chain of distributors.

Raw Petroleum Coke (RPC)
Raw Petroleum Coke is one of the byproduct of the Refinery. Numaligarh Refinery Limited sells Raw Petroleum Coke on need basis. RPC is mainly used as raw materials for production of Calcined Petroleum Coke.
RPC is dispatched by road.
RPC is generally sold to customers in Assam due to GOI directive.

Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC)
Numaligarh Refinery Limited has a Coke Calcination Unit along the Petroleum Refinery for calcination of Raw Petroleum Coke (RPC) into Calcined Petroleum Coke(CPC). CPC produced at Numaligarh Refinery limited is one of best in the world best because of its superior properties i.e. low sulphur, low CTE, good sizing, etc. makes it ideally suitable for manufacturing of Graphite Electrodes. Yearly production is around 70 TMT.
CPC is despatched from Numaligarh Marketing Terminal both by Rail and Road.
Main customers are NALCO & HINDALCO.
