We aspire to be a responsible corporate citizen deeply committed to enhance value creation with regard to sustenance of the organization and thereby attain sustained excellence in refinery operation using resources optimally, by means of reuse and recycling wherever possible, to achieve our legitimate business objectives and at the same time try to ensure that there will be sufficient resources for future generations. While we strive to create value for our stakeholder we shall continue to contribute to our communities in which we, our suppliers as well as our customers live.

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of the NRL SD Policy is :
  • To help NRL remain focused on its SD vision.
  • To ensure increased commitment at all levels in the organization and become responsible citizen themselves to operate its business in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable manner. The communities will be enabled in a manner that has a sustained developmental impact.
In line with the SD policy of NRL, aligned with DPE’s guideline, NRL has identified following projects for the year 2012-13
  • Reuse of storm water , contaminated rain water ; medium term project with detail engineering target completion date 15.02.2013 and overall completion of the project by 2015-16
  • Generation of 100 KWH by installing a Solar PV panel ; short term project for which placement of order for execution by 15.12.2012 and overall completion of project by 2013-14
  • Reuse of treated effluents to ensure ‘Zero’ discharge of effluents from refinery which is a ongoing activity
  • Carrying Capacity Study for the receiving atmosphere ; Short term project with completion of study by 15.01.2013
  • SD reporting for the year 2011-12 with completion of report submission by 15.01.2013
